Acesulfame Potassium (also branded as Sunette), white, odorless, free flowing crystalline powder, is a sweetener Choice. It is chemically Potassium Salt of 6-methyl-1,2,3-oxathiazin-4(3H)-one-dioxide. It , known about 200 times sweeter than sugar and calorie free, was approved as a tabletop sweetene by FDA in 1988 and is widely used in a wide range of food products and sugar-free food formulations. Acesulfame Potassium has an property of  synegistic effect when combined with other sweeteners. Acesulfame potassium has excellent shelf life and does not break down when cooked or baked. It is freely soluble in water but slightly in alcohols.
